This podcast is an accessible dialogue of sound Catholic theology for adult Catholics who seek a vigorous faith life. Here, on-going conversion is nourished, challenged and matures. This podcast, and it's series of podcasts, link to a virtual on-line parish program which parishioners register for and receive print materials focused on each module. Other listeners, may contact us and order the materials as well. The dialogue here intends to stimulate real world behavior towards the peace of the Lord (in Italian, the word is pace)?the peace of God?s will done on earth as it is in heaven. Please, won?t you join us in listening responsively to this good news of peace?!

This initial session in an eight part series on an Introduction to the Nature of the Church begins to explore the question of why the church is essential. A first response to the question is that the church passes on divine revelation. What Christ entrusted to the  apostles, they in turn handed on to all generations through their preaching and writing, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This process and its products make up Sacred Tradition. Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture form a single sacred statement of the word of God. The church contemplates God, the source of all her riches and through her doctrine, life and worship, passes on to all of us everything she believes.
In this podcast hear how a simple gesture sets into motion faith being passed from one person to another.  Please listen in and then, in the community forum for this podacst, share stories like the one you will hear, comment on the content of the printed materials (contact us if you are not in St. Vincent’s parish and want to order these materials), and make observations about any part of the ensuing conversation. Â
Thank you for being a part of this electronic effort to pass on the faith –perhaps another step in the ongoing catechetical formation of our tradition and ample answer of why we need the church. Peace –PACE!
